Subject: 2009 Business Plan
My partner and I have been spending the past few weeks reviewing the SWS business plan for 2009. We have decided to no longer operate the glider portion of the business.
This is not an easy or pleasant decision because we have spent a great deal of time, money and energy to develop this business. I have taken great pleasure in providing this service and have had some of the most enjoyable moments of my flying career with all of you in the skies over 29D.
However, time marches on and we must deal with certain realities. To our tow pilots and ground crews, I say thank you for nearly 4000 safe launches and recoveries. This is not a solo sport and together we have done some terrific things in the air and on the ground. To all, thank you.
Log books in our possession will be mailed out over the next few weeks and the glider equipment will be available for sale. We are not leaving the airport only the glider operation is effected. Steve.
