September 20, 2008 Subject: Tom Stewart soloes! Tom Stewart put his best foot forward today and soloed in the SGU 2-22E. After several training flights he was ready to pack up and go home, but we had different plans. A bottle of water and some review of ground school subjects and off he went into smooth skies and light winds. The whole flight from takeoff to touchdown was school book perfect. Congrats Tom, very nice job and also to Dick Proch his instructor. Lots of hard work on the part of these two individuals resulted in a very well conducted first solo flight. Two days remaining in the season and we are completely booked. I also have a waiting list for possible cancelations. Remember, Sunday the 28th is the EAA 161 Annual Fly-In. Food, fun and flying is the theme for the day. Come out and enjoy. Steve.
