Subject: Positive control checks

We get out of the habit of making positive control checks since our air machines are not disassembled but once a year. It is still a good procedure and we should be doing it.

Another check that has been adopted is the "critical control check". Once the assembly is completed and the positive control check is complete, the CCC should be done. Request assistance from someone who is familar with the type of sailplane you are flying and ask them to look your ship over. The emphasis is on correct flight control connections. Its a type of CRM (crew resource management). Another set of eyes to check your work. Steve.
