Subject: 2 great days of soaring!

The weather channel is the biggest killer of weekend flying I have ever encountered. Saturday was great with late afternoon thundershowers passing around the airport. Later, some large boomers and heavy rain hit Mercer County.

Sunday was great again with excellent thermaling as the day wore on.

Noel Dean, glider instructor, mechanic and all around fix it guy at the airport for more than a decade is retiring from his duties this week at the Grove City Airport. Noel is 70 and will continue with power instruction at Grove City and Franklin Airports. Thank you, Noel, for all the hard work and support of the airport over so many years! Steve.
