Subject: Flying canceled today, Sunday June 29th.
Today looks like a repeat of yesterday, low ceilings, high humidity, poor visibility, gusty winds and a high chance of significant rain and thunderstorms. The slow moving cold front pushing all of this towards us will provide relief late Monday or Tuesday. Till then soaring conditions will be poor.
I share your frustration, since we work all week long to prepare for glider flying on the weekend. But in the words of Yoda, "Control the weather, can not."
I have received many calls of concern for Bob and I. We are both sore, but recovering nicely. Thank you for all the kind words of encouragement. Steve.
