Subject: Too windy again!
While the gliders are relatively easy to control in high winds the tow plane is quite difficult in similar conditions. After 2 tows today our tow pilot said it was just too much to deal with and so we sat and waited. And we waited until it made no sense to wait any more. My experience has been that around 3 o'clock the winds begin to die off, but today it was more like 5.
I always respect the opinions of our ground crews, instructors and tow pilots. They do a consistently great job day in and day out launching and recovering the gliders safely. If anyone thinks we shouldn't be doing something, then we should all take a moment to consider those thoughts and opinions.
So we put the toys away and look forward to next weekend. See you at the airport. Steve.
