Subject: airport update

Concrete was poured for the floor of the new t-hangars and the parking pad for the Stat Medevac helicopter last week. The building structure is scheduled for delivery on Monday and a month of construction will follow.

An excellent soaring day yesterday with 6-8 knots of lift. We lost one period at the end of the day when the tow plane battery died. Noel found a broken wire that prevented the battery from charging. All will be fixed this week. I plan on assembling the 2-33 this week which will open the schedule a bit more. The 1-26 has been primed and the white will go on this week.

I spent the better part of the week in Wichita, KS picking up a 2008 King Air 200GT. We toured the factories building all the Hawker Beechcraft line of recips, turboprops and jets. Quite the experience! Plus the usual wining and dining associated with this type of transaction was greatly enjoyed by all in attendance.

The flight home at FL270 at 300 KTAS was smooth and uneventful. Probably my last new airplane and a great ride to end a career on. I'm having a good time and hope you are too. See you at the airport. Steve.
