Subject: Update

The winter maintenance projects have begun. The 1-26 flight control surfaces have been removed and are being prepared for recovering. The fabric was at the end of its life. Next the fuselage and wings will be stripped, primed and repainted. I say this like it will be done in days but it will take a couple of months. Both of the 2 seaters will be receive annual inspections and be placed into storage. The tow plane has been moved to storage already.

As many of you know I will be retiring at the end of the month from my airline job. It has been the dream job for me, but I am road weary and anxious to get on to the next adventure. As the winds at altitude start coming out of the west at over 100 knots and we check the airplane for ice accumulation after landing in CLE, I know it is time for me to move on.

Ground school starts January 6th. Let me know if you plan on coming. I'll be ordering the training materials in early December. Steve.
