Subject: "Iceman" solos
Chris Gregg (aka "Iceman")soloed the 2-22 today under clear skies and a light cross wind. As we always expect, it turned out well with a flawless takeoff balanced on the single wheel and a touchdown that rolled out on the center of the centerline. Since this was the first time I had seen Chris on the centerline much less splitting it down the middle with the skid, I was and remain impressed. Later he took a short pattern tow and landed on the grass strip, again a very nice pattern and a precise touchdown. Congrats Chris, well done!
We have several others that are preparing to solo and we hope the weather holds through September. See you at the airport. Steve.
